Dinwiddie County Education: More students enrolled in Dinwiddie County Public Schools District in 2023-24 school year

The only school district in Dinwiddie County had rising enrollment in the 2023-24 school year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

There were 4,258 students in Dinwiddie County Public Schools District, less than 0.1% more than the year before.

Enrollment in Dinwiddie County bucked the state's trend of decreasing enrollment.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2023-24 school year, 51.7% of them were male, and 48.3% were female.

Data also showed that most of the studets were white, representing 51% of Dinwiddie County Public Schools District's total enrollment.

Dinwiddie County Public Schools District has a main office in Dinwiddie and is the only school district within Dinwiddie County.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14 in the 2023-24 school year, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools.
