2023-24 School Year Enrollment: 456 7th-grade students welcomed in Prince George County schools

There were 456 7th-grade students enrolled in Prince George County schools in the 2023-24 school year, 2.7% more than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

J.E.J. Moore Middle School was the only school that welcomed 7th-grade students in the county.

Within Prince George County schools, the largest number of students were found in 9th-grade, while pre-kindergarten had the least students.

Statewide, Prince George County ranked 39th in enrollment numbers. It was ranked 40th the year before.

As of November 2023, according to Public Schools Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools nationwide.
