Prince George County Education: Which school had most students enrolled in 2023-24 school year?

Prince George High School had the highest enrollment among Prince George County schools, welcoming 1,818 students during the 2023-24 school year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed at the time, 50% of them were female, and 49.9% were male.

The most represented ethnicity among Prince George High School students was white, accounting for 45.9% of the student population.

Among the seven schools in Prince George County, J.E.J. Moore Middle School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 1,395 students, while William A. Walton Elementary School welcomed 741 students to be ranked third in the 2023-24 school year.

Prince George High School is part of Prince George County Public Schools District, which roughly covers schools within Prince George County, with its main office in Prince George.

In the previous school year, Prince George High School also had the highest number of students among Prince George County schools.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14 in the 2023-24 school year, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools.
