There were two American Indian students enrolled in Surry County Public Schools District in the 2023-24 school year, the same number as the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Data showed that Surry County Public Schools District welcomed 694 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among them, American Indian students comprised 0.3% of the student body to be the least represented ethnicity in the school.

Surry County Public Schools District roughly covers schools within Surry County and has a main office in Surry.

Among the three schools in Surry County Public Schools District, Surry Elementary School and Luther P. Jackson Middle School welcomed only one American Indian student in the 2023-24 school year.
