Former Manchester High School player and current Christopher Newport Captains outfielder, Brooke Childress, will compete in the NCAA D3 Softball Championship Tournament.

They begin the tournament as a number one seed against the fourth seeded John Jay Bloodhounds.

The first game is on Thursday, May 16.
