Washington, D.C., doctor Manish Khanna of Capitol Breathe Free, was recently named one of the best doctors in the Northern Virginia area by Northern Virginia Mag. An ENT (ear, nose, and throat specialist), Dr. Khanna is on staff at Harborside Surgery Center and Sibley Memorial Hospital.

According to Capitol Breathe Free’s website, Dr. Khanna grew up in Rockville, Maryland. He graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and then earned a Doctor of Medicine from Albany Medical College in 2002. Afterwards, he was accepted into the Otolaryngology Residency Program at Albany Medical Center, completing his surgical internship, residency, and chief residency in 2007. He then made a move out west, accepting an offer for a Fellowship in Rhinology—Advanced Endoscopic Sinus Surgery at the California Sinus Institute in Palo Alto.

While at the California Sinus Institute, Dr. Khanna performed many of the procedures he would later make routine, learning the medical and surgical management of challenging sinonasal disorders. In 2008, he returned to Washington, D.C., to provide ear, nose, and throat medical care, serving as the director of the Sinus Institute of Northern Virginia until 2018.

In 2018, Dr. Khanna co-founded the National Breathe Free Sinus & Allergy Centers, per the organization's website. The company's vision is to “spread the very best minimally invasive sinus and allergy care to patients.” By this point, having been a professional in the ENT field for over a decade, Dr. Khanna has ample experience performing just about all sinonasal procedures.

This is not the first time Dr. Khanna has been recognized for his efforts as an ENT specialist. In 2021, he was named one of the top five ENT doctors in Washington, D.C., by Kev's Best.
