Dinwiddie County Treasurer, Jennifer C. Perkins reports that tax bills for the first half of 2022 will be mailed the week of April 25, 2022. The deadline for paying taxes without penalty is June 6, 2022. A 10% penalty will be added to each tax bill paid after this date. Information on several available payment options will be included on the back of each tax bill.
“I encourage citizens to review their tax bills and report any suspected errors immediately in order to ensure that payments may be processed accurately and on time” , stated Mrs. Perkins. “I also highly recommend that citizens pay early and take advantage of the online, phone and local bank branch payment options to avoid standing in long lines in our office.”
Citizens who are 65 years of age and older, and/or permanently disabled may qualify for partial or total exemption. For additional information, contact the Commissioner of the Revenue, at (804) 469-4500, option 4.
