Prince George County celebrated the grand opening of the Tripoint Distribution Center on August 13. The event was attended by local residents, business owners, county leaders, and representatives from various organizations including the Hopewell–Prince George Chamber of Commerce, Virginia’s Gateway Region, the Port of Virginia, and Virginia House Delegate Carrie Coyner.
The distribution center is located at 5160 Chudoba Parkway, close to major highways and about 80 minutes from the Port of Virginia. This strategic location is expected to make it a key hub for goods movement across the eastern United States.
“This 347,000 square foot facility is a true powerhouse of potential,” said Floyd M. Brown Jr., Chairman of the Board of Supervisors. “Its purpose reflects our commitment to growth.”
Construction began in September 2024, and its completion marks a significant step for economic growth and employment opportunities in Virginia’s Gateway Region.
“Tripoint is the latest addition to our industrial park, which is a key part of the county’s strategic plan in attracting new businesses and generating local economic growth and development,” said Yoti Jabri, Prince George County’s Director of Economic Development & Tourism.
Stephen Edwards, CEO and Executive Director of the Port of Virginia, highlighted that Tripoint’s location will enhance efficiency and create new economic opportunities across the region.
The opening underscores Prince George County’s capability to attract large-scale industrial developments. Alongside Governor Glenn Youngkin’s announcement about LEGO Group’s expansion, it highlights the county as an ideal business location amid low vacancy rates for industrial properties in Richmond and Hampton Roads MSA.
