EQQAMARKA: NEW ARTIFACTS FROM AN ANCIENT CITY
EVENT INFORMATION:
“I like my pieces to look like modern artifacts from an ancient culture; an ancient place. This place is called Eqqumarka, the name is a blend of Eqqu, a reference to horse in Latin, and marka a reference to land in Quechua. A language blend that also defines me. The story of this place is developing. I build things with slabs, things like lamps, horses, dancers, faces, among others. Everything is an experiment, and exploration, on different techniques, textures, colors.”
