The VSU Multi-Purpose Center will host its first “Touch -A- Truck” event on Saturday, June 25 at 10:00 AM. The event is free to the public!
Touch-A-Truck is an event to kick off the summer for the youth and families of the Tri-Cities community and surrounding areas, where children can get up-close access to vehicles .
The type of vehicles that will be present is public services vehicles (fire, police, EMS), construction vehicles (dump trucks, payloaders, etc.), military vehicles, and many more. Along with the “trucks”, there will be plenty of other fun activities for the youth and families to participate in.
From 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm, there will be a “No Honk” Hour, when sirens, horns, and other loud noises will be stopped for anyone who may have a Sensory Processing Disorder or just does not want to deal with the additional noise.
“We really wanted to kick off the summer with a family-friendly event for all our community around the VSU Multi-Purpose Center” stated VSU Multi-Purpose Center General Manager, Nate Harris. “We are grateful to our partners who will make this a great event for all who attend”.
