Surry County issued the following announcement on Feb. 24
UPDATE ON CIRCUIT COURTHOUSE CLOSURE: The Virginia Department of Health and Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD) completed a thorough review and investigation of incomplete septic plumbing at the Surry County Circuit Courthouse on February 24, 2022. The investigation resulted in a remediation plan to correct the issue. County retained contractors have been given permission to make the necessary repairs. We are expecting the Surry County Circuit Courthouse to reopen on Tuesday March 1, 2022.
