County of Chesterfield issued the following announcement on Dec. 15
Chesterfield residents and businesses have another way to provide important input into the county’s on-going Zoning Ordinance Modernization (ZOMod) project.
Working in conjunction with a team of national planning consultants, Chesterfield Planning has launched an online survey to help prioritize uses for new zoning measures being considered during the ZOMod project. The short, interactive survey is designed to help the public visualize and weigh in on possible zoning changes being proposed as part of the ZOMod project.
The public can access the survey online at: www.chesterfield.gov/zomod. An informational video on how to take the survey and how the results will be used in the ZOMod project can be viewed at https://youtu.be/OdrPIBLCAtg.
Chesterfield Planning officially launched the ZOMod initiative in January 2021, taking a deep dive into the current zoning ordinance -- the set of rules that define how property can be used or developed -- and associated documents. County planning staff and consultants continue to collect public input about what changes should be considered for the new zoning ordinance.
With community guidance and support, county leaders expect the ZOMod initiative to set the stage for progressive development and land use within Chesterfield’s 437 square miles for many years to come.
Residents, businesses and users of the Zoning Ordinance are strongly encouraged to view the video and submit any comments, questions or concerns about the ZOMod initiative. People can also email ZOMod@chesterfield.gov or call 804-748-1778 to speak to ZOMod Project Manager Rachel Chieppa.
