Surry County issued the following announcement on May. 28.
Due to impending inclement weather on Friday, Movie Night will be moved to the Parks and Recreation Center located at 205 Enos Farm Drive Surry, VA 23883. The Lego Movie The Second Part will be aired at 6:00pm. Chairs will be provided to attendees. Social distancing will be enforced and masks are to be worn when not sitting down. Popcorn will be provided by Social Services for attendees.
We encourage citizens to please visit the Farmers’ Market if the weather permits. The Farmers’ Market is open from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. The Farmers’ Market vendors are listed below:

Crystal's Sweet Treats- baked goods, fried chicken, crabcake sandwiches, and funnel cakes

Thelma's Retail Variety- homemade pies and tarts
Mimi's Kitchen- Homemade Jellies, jams, sweet potato bread, potted plants
