County of Prince George issued the following announcement on Dec. 22

Prince George County Residents – Christmas Tree Recycling Sunday, December 26, 2021 through Sunday, January 16, 2022

The Prince George County Convenience Center located on 3100 Union Branch Road will be offering Christmas Tree Recycling for Prince George residents at no charge.  Recycling starts Sunday, December 26, 2021 through Sunday, January 16, 2022 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Daily).  

The Convenience Center will be closed for the Holiday – Friday, 12/31/21 at 12 Noon and reopen Sunday, 1/2/22 at 8:00 AM.

Please remove all decorations from the trees and please keep trees separate from other household waste.  No Artificial trees accepted free of charge.  

If further information is needed, please contact the Department of General Services at (804) 722-0775.

The PG Convenience Center is operated by Meridian Waste and is typically open seven days a week and closed for most major holidays.
