County of Prince George issued the following announcement on Sept. 23 

  • Prince George County Government Offices & certain schools closed for the rest of the day because of a water leak; Planning Commission meeting canceled for tonight.
  • Riverside Regional Jail Finance Committee and Full Board will meet beginning at 11 a.m. today at the Jail offices; will consider agreement with State officials to avoid decertification.
  • Appomattox River Water & South Central Wastewater authorities will meet today at 2:00 at the Petersburg offices.
  • Virginia Department of Health (VDH) statistics report Prince George County has experienced nine new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
  • Residents seeking COVID-19 vaccine appointments should call (877) 829-4682 or click on https://vaccinate.virginia.gov/.
