Time Details: Saturday 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM, Sunday 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM

Cost: Daily parking rate $7.00 per vehicle. No extra event fee.

Prior to Yorktown in 1781, the events that would dictate the movement of the armies are often overshadowed. Chippokes Plantation State Park will offer a glimpse into the battles, actions, and camp life of both the British and American Armies as they progress on the road to Yorktown in the third annual Prelude to Yorktown Reenactment.

Battle reenactments on Saturday and Sunday are scheduled for 1:30 PM and 1:00 PM respectively. Demonstrations for the cavalry, artillery, and camp life will be offered throughout the day. Vendors for food and historic crafts onsite. Tours of the 1854 Jones-Stewart Mansion and Hearth Cooking demonstrations offered throughout the day.
