Surry County issued the following announcement on Aug. 9

Plan now to attend the Nottoway Tribal Pow Wow on Saturday and Sunday, September 18 & 19, 2021 held at the Surry County Community Center at 205 Enos Farm Drive, Surry, VA.

Featuring Intertribal dancing, storytelling, educational exhibits, vendors, crafts, and community services.  General Admission is $8.00 for adults, $5.00 for seniors, $5.00 for children under 18 years of age.  Children aged 12 or under are free when accompanied by an adult.  Show your COVID-19 vaccination card for $1.00 off of admission fee.

All CDC and local health safety protocols will be followed.

The Tribe’s “Gift to the Community” of Surry County:

The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Hampton University’s COVID-19 Vaccination Unit (pre-registration required for vaccinations – see links below), and Blackwater Regional Library mobile units will be onsite offering free services to the community.
