Significant progress has been reported in the construction of The LEGO Group’s new Regional Distribution Center at Crosspointe Commerce Centre in Prince George County. Since the groundbreaking on November 13, 2025, work has advanced with the full site pad now formed and the first wall panels of the two-million-square-foot facility being installed.
According to Prince George County officials, this development represents a major step toward completing the $360 million distribution center. The project is expected to generate over 300 new jobs when finished. “Thanks to Hillwood Investment Properties and The Silverman Group for sharing this new bird’s-eye view of the progress to date and the scale of investment taking place right here in Prince George County,” a county statement said.
The facility will support The LEGO Group’s upcoming factory currently under construction in Chesterfield County, aiming to strengthen supply chain operations throughout the Americas.
In related demographic information, Prince George County Public Schools District enrolled 6,181 students during the 2023-24 school year (https://www.doe.virginia.gov/home), showing a slight increase from the previous year. Among these, Prince George High School had the highest enrollment with 1,818 students (https://www.doe.virginia.gov/home). White students were the largest ethnic group in county schools at 44.7% of enrollment, followed by Black students at 30.4% (https://www.doe.virginia.gov/home). North Elementary School enrolled 46 pre-kindergarten students—the largest number among county schools for that grade level (https://www.doe.virginia.gov/home).
This milestone is viewed as important for both local economic growth and employment opportunities tied to ongoing industrial developments in Prince George County.
