Of the 1,145,862 citizens living in Fairfax County in 2019, 875,647 were old enough to vote as of Jan. 26, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

The bureau reported 445,872 of those people were female and 429,775 were male.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau’s American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.
