Chesterfield County Public Schools (CCPS) has announced that its seven volunteer advisory committees will convene in September 2025 to support the school division’s objectives and provide guidance to the School Board.

According to CCPS, several advisory committee meetings are scheduled for September 2025. The Audit and Finance Advisory Committee is set to meet at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, September 2, at the School Administration Offices located at 7053 Celebration Park Ave, North Chesterfield. The Special Education Advisory Committee will gather at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3, at the North Courthouse Road Library, 325 Courthouse Rd, Richmond. Additionally, the School Health Advisory Committee is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Monday, September 8, at the Chesterfield Career and Technical Center @ Hull, situated at 13900 Hull St, Midlothian. The Citizens Budget Advisory Committee will meet at 8 a.m. on Thursday, September 11, also at the School Administration Offices.

Further meetings include the Career and Technical Education Advisory Committee and the Environmental Stewardship Advisory Committee, both occurring on Tuesday, September 16. The former will meet at 8:30 a.m., while the latter is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., both taking place at the Chesterfield Career and Technical Center @ Hull. The Citizens Budget Advisory Committee is set to reconvene at 8 a.m. on Thursday, September 25, in the same location.

CCPS employs these advisory committees as a means of connecting community members with local schools. Each committee comprises parents, teachers, staff members, students, and other residents from the county’s five magisterial districts. Members offer input by reviewing programs and budgets and assisting in guiding initiatives in areas such as audit and finance, career and technical education, gifted education, special education, school health, and environmental stewardship.

Chesterfield County Public Schools serves over 64,000 students across its network of 67 schools with an annual budget of $1 billion. The district boasts full accreditation with a reported on-time graduation rate of 91%, producing approximately 4,700 graduates each year who receive millions in scholarship awards. It includes seven National Blue Ribbon Schools and eight National ESEA Distinguished Schools among other accolades. Governed by a five-member School Board following its strategic plan “Imagine Beyond Tomorrow,” CCPS aims to promote lifelong learning alongside personal growth while preparing students for college and careers.
