Capitol Breathe Free was announced as one of the 2023 Moxie Award winners at the award ceremony and dinner at the Ritz-Carlton Tysons on Oct. 25. These winners are chosen for showcasing both boldness and innovation within their businesses.

The Moxie Award Program is an evening that consists of networking and festivities and recognizes the success of business in the D.C. metro area, according to the program’s website. Eighteen companies from different categories are chosen as recipients.

Capitol Breathe Free Sinus and Allergy Centers is an ENT (ear, nose, throat) practice with two locations in the D.C. metro area. The clinics provide several sinus, allergy and ENT treatments at locations in Washington, D.C. and Woodbridge, Va., according to the company website. Many of its procedures are minimally invasive in-office treatments to treat complications that come from sinusitis.

Dr. Manish Khanna is a physician at Capitol Breathe Free. According to the company website, he began his academic journey with undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Following that, he conducted postgraduate research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He pursued his medical degree at Albany Medical College in 2002 and subsequently completed his surgical internship and residency in the Otolaryngology Residency Program at Albany Medical Center, serving as chief resident until 2007. After his residency, he undertook a fellowship in Rhinology – Advanced Endoscopic Sinus Surgery at the California Sinus Institute in Palo Alto, Calif., obtaining Board Certification in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery in 2008, before returning to the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Capitol Breathe Free Sinus and Allergy Centers received the Moxie Award within the healthcare sector, as stated on Moxie’s list of winners.
